Montecito Sanitary District Miramar Lift Station

The Rosewood Miramar Hotel began construction in 2016.  In order to accommodate the hotel’s sanitary needs, Montecito Sanitary District awarded Cushman Contracting Corporation the construction of the Miramar Lift Station.  The 1,200 cubic yard concrete structure included three 23 horsepower submersible pumps connected to a force main lifting sewage 21’ to an existing manhole. Cushman overcame the challenge of dealing with the natural disaster of the Montecito Debris Flow which caused intrusion of mud and debris during construction.  Cushman was able to complete the project well ahead of the grand opening of the Rosewood Miramar Hotel.
