Ventura Harbor Rock Revetment

The Ventura Harbor Village bank was eroding due to tidal surge so the Port District solicited bids to place rock revetment along the slope. Cushman was awarded the project and mobilized our barge and crane to place over 8000 tons of rip rap. The project involved challenges such as maneuvering our barge down the marina fairways within inches of expensive yachts and fishing boats. The project finished ahead of schedule and Cushman was able to modify the design slope to better accommodate the tenants and provide a cost savings to the district.
