Sierra Army Depot Water Treatment Plant & Distribution Plant

Sierra Army Depot Water Treatment Plant & Distribution Plant

SIAD has three potable water wells.  These wells exceed allowable levels for manganese, iron, and uranium. The State of California issued a demand that corrective action be taken. The Design-Build project was intended to provide treatment facilities at two of the three wells to eliminate the contaminate load.  The design and construction also was required to transport wastewater generated by the treatment system to a disposable area on the north area of the Army Depot. Further, Building 92, which houses limited telemetry on the existing system, was gutted to provide sufficient space for all new control equipment and electronic record-keeping equipment to monitor the system.
